There are things to write, and thinks to write about, but at the present moment nothing is more important than this year old music video:
I’m not sure what my favourite part is, but a contender is when Lou Will says “I’m a dog, I love hoes” in the middle of a narrative featuring a rather sweet, chaste, and romantic-seeming date at the Santa Monica Pier. But whatever, this isn’t about me — it’s about Lou Will doing 6 Man things.
This issue, in contrast, is about other things. Trivia, for one, but also clarification about past trivia. I’ll try to be quick about it.
Oddball is, I guess, three things:
A cheat-proof sports trivia game we’re trying to build.
A sports and trivia newsletter (i.e. this).
A sports trivia Facebook page (i.e. this).
A few issues ago we tried to bring #1 and #2 together and it didn’t go as planned.
And, after we started doing weekday trivia on Facebook, people who answered those questions asked whether or not there was a mechanism to answer the newsletter’s trivia questions other in the comments.
This made me realize that something was a bit confusing.
We’re currently ironing out the kinks and also figuring out how to do a live show via Zoom or Instagram Live (or whatever). For now, if you wanted to answer the newsletter questions (without researching them) in the comments that would be great. Either way, thank you for your continued support of Oddball. — DJ

Detroit-born Jimmy Carson scored 55 goals in 1987-88 and was shipped to the Edmonton Oilers as part of the Wayne Gretzky trade. The other American 55-goal scorer is Brockton, Massachusetts-born Kevin Stevens, who did it in 1992-93 while playing on a line with some randos named Mario Lemieux and Jaromír Jágr.

You can’t just run headlong into sports trivia. You’ve got to stretch.
The 2020-21 NBA season will be a 72-game affair and will start on December 22.
LeBron James is less than impressed by this development.
Apparently the Toronto Raptors are exploring the idea of playing in Nashville, Tennessee if they’re not allowed to play in Canada.
Apparently there are a lot of teams in the mix to trade for Francisco Lindor, whom Cleveland is mos def going to trade before they have to pay him what he’s worth.
When Robbie Ray signed a one-year, $8 million contract with the Blue Jays, MLBTR, who figured he’d sign with Milwaukee for a year and $6 million, was wrong. We’re curious about how wrong their fifty free agent predictions will end up being…

Many thanks to Delonte West for being named his name and to you for being named your name.
That’s it. As you were.
