Some sports news in a minute (or less):
The Blue Jays have fired Charlie Montoyo. The Hurricanes traded for Brent Burns. Stanley Cup champions Darcy Kuemper (signed with the Capitals) and Andre Burakovsky (signed with the Kraken) have left the Avalanche. The Lightning extended three players, including Mikhail Sergachev. Claude Giroux, who spent part of his childhood in the Ottawa area, is signing with the Senators. According to Woj, Scottie Barnes is not available in re: a prospective trade for Kevin Durant. Utah, however, is theoretically listening to offers for Donovan Mitchell. Pat Connaughton was extended by the Bucks. Marion Barber III’s death was caused by heat stroke. Tiger Woods, a ChAmPiOn Of FiDeLiTy (imagine me doing this) if ever there was one, was critical of golfers who left the PGA tour for the LIV.
And finally, peep this insane padel point. (No, we didn’t know what padel was either, and now that we do, we’re split on it. I think it’s awesome. Jonathan thinks it’s “an updated, dumber version of jai alai.”)

Today is National French Fry Day. Every question will kind of, sort of relate back to french fries. (Don’t think too hard, just think hard enough.)
In 2018, a Harvard professor named Eric Rimm said the ideal serving size was six french fries. Six is the number you get when you multiply the two jersey numbers of what player, a 34th-round pick in the 2015 MLB Amateur Draft who some people think should have been an All-Star this year?
A lottery pick and a member of the 2005-06 All-Rookie team, what former NBA player won a championship late in his career before calling it quits and spending more time with another former NBA player — who incidentally went to the same university as he did and was on the same championship-winning team as he was?
Before it was renamed Acrisure Stadium yesterday, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ home games were played at Heinz Field. What fictional football team, featuring the talents of Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward, and Troy Polamalu, played part of a game at that stadium in a 2012 blockbuster film?
Before it was renamed Acrisure Stadium yesterday, Heinz Field hosted two outdoor NHL games, one in 2011 and one in 2017. What three teams were featured across the two games?
Answers from last week’s issue
The all-time Major League Leader in hits, runs, home runs, and RBI among players born on July 4 is what slugging third baseman, who was picked in an expansion draft by a team he played for three different times—and who at one point played for the city associated with the photo above.
Vinny Castilla, who was a much better fielder than anyone remembers, was the droid we were looking for. (The picture from last week’s issue was a still from when thousands of July 4 fireworks went off all at once in San Diego in 2012.)
Tied for the all-time lead in Pro Bowl appearances (6) among NFL players born on July 4, this nose tackle, born in the city associated with the photo above (where he also played college ball), had his best years for teams that last won Super Bowls in 1995-96 and 2009-10.
LaRoi Glover had his six consecutive Pro Bowl years for the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys. (The picture from last week’s issue was a still from when thousands of July 4 fireworks went off all at once in San Diego in 2012.)
First and second in career points scored among NBA players born on July 4, what twin brothers, both first-round picks, are related to a player who recently got traded for a first-round pick.
That would be Horace (12,996 points) and Harvey Grant (7,781), the latter of whom is Jerami Grant’s father.
A former NHLer currently in the Hall of Fame, what player was traded for one of the Hall of Famers from last week’s hockey question’s answer (answers below) on July 4, 1994.
Phil Housley (and two second-round picks) was traded for Al MacInnis (and a fourth-round pick).

RIP Gary Moeller and Bryan Marchment.
Many thanks to four-time WNBA three-point contest winner Allie Quigley for being named her name and to you for being named your name, unless your name is Ali Imsirovic, who is most probably a cheater.
Until next week, be the Ezequiel Carrera you wish to see in the world.
